James Ryan's travels to Spain and Ireland have been a major source of inspiration for his paintings. In addition, he enjoys capturing in watercolor the wonderful light and colors of New England. James has exhibited at Boston's City Hall and won first prize in watercolor at the River Art Festival in Milton, Massachusetts. His painting, Jamaica's Motif (right), was on display at the National Watercolor Society exhibit in Sherman Oaks, CA. He is a native of Boston and teaches watercolors and Spanish at the Roxbury Latin School. |
